A few pages before boarding
A little time at the gate can be enough to get back to your book. The Kindle Paperwhite is the main tool here; the Sony headphones are an optional extra if you want noise canceling.
Start with what you already own. A paperback, your phone or an existing reader may be enough. You do not need to buy both products.
Prepare the book before the trip
The selected Paperwhite has a 7-inch glare-free screen and adjustable warm light. Before leaving, charge it and open the book you plan to read. Check that the book is downloaded, works on your Kindle and opens with Wi-Fi off.
Charge the headphones if you are bringing them. Noise canceling needs power and does not remove every sound. For audio, check the source device and pairing separately; the headphones are not required for reading.
Keep the versions clear
The shopping option is the 2024 Paperwhite, 12th generation, Black, 16 GB, with lockscreen ads. Check the selected generation and ad option before ordering.
The headphones are the black WH-1000XM4. Check that exact model on the destination page. These are separate products, not a bundle.
