Coffee or tea?
For mornings when one of you wants stovetop coffee and the other wants tea.

Choose the pot for your cup and stove
The silver 3-cup Bialetti Moka Express makes a small pot of coffee. Its “cups” are espresso-size servings. If you drink coffee by the mug, check the size before you buy.
This aluminum model works on gas and conventional electric burners. On induction, Bialetti calls for its induction plate. To brew, add room-temperature water to just below the safety valve, loosely fill the basket with moka-ground coffee, screw the pot together and use low heat. Take it off the burner when the coffee has collected in the top.
Put the kettle on for tea
While the coffee brews, heat water for the other person’s tea in your usual kettle. If you also make pour-over coffee, the HARIO Buono’s slim spout lets you control the pour. The kettle is optional.
The kettle link shows several HARIO models. Look for the silver stovetop Buono and compare capacities. HARIO gives its 1.2-liter version an 800 mL usable capacity.
